      General Info
      The original foundation for what is now Duncan Marine began in Jackson, MS in 1972 as Marine Mart on North Mart Plaza off of State Street. Tom Duncan and a group of partners received an Evinrude franchise and began by selling Rebel, VIP, MFG, and later Bass Cat boats. In 1980, Mr. Duncan moved to the original Duncan Marine location on South Gallatin Street in Jackson as a sole owner and continued to sell Evinrude as well as many different brands of fishing and pleasure boats in addition to carrying a full line of marine accessories. In 1996 Bob Duncan purchased the assets of the business and began the transformation that would eventually lead to the dealership as we know it today. On January 4, 1999 the new location on Old Fannin Road near the Barnett Reservoir was open and ready for business with evidence of future growth in the air. Along the way, Yamaha Marine became the major outboard line of choice for quality and dependability. Also, Bennington, G3, Stratos, and Ranger were brought on board for a dynamic product mix. In December 2006, another monumental transformation took place when Bob Duncan decided to pursue other interests and turned the reigns over to Eddie Smith as the new owner of Duncan Marine under S and P Enterprises Inc. The new ownership brings years of expertise in both sales and service. Recently, the company supplemented the existing quality lines with NauticStar boats, and Mercury outboards, as well as the most recent addition, Bayliner boats to round out a full selection of marine products. In 2012 Eddie Smith, Owner of Duncan Marine began construction on a new Super Store on Hwy 25. With 3 times the display area and selling space. The new store would be completed in September 2013.September 2013, Duncan Marine opened it doors to the New Super Store. Duncan Marine now offers the top brands in boats. Brands like Ranger, Triton, Stratos and Skeeter in Bass boats. Aluminum boats in G3, Ranger and Triton. Pontoons from SunCather. Outboard motors from Yamaha, Mercury and Evinrude. Full line of Humminbird and Lowrance depth finders and accessories. Also, new boating accessories and fishing supplies were brought in to fill the store.
