Sorrentino was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University at Buffalo and Daemen College in Amherst, New York. Sorrentino also earned nutrition and personal training certifications, and he is certified and trained in aesthetic medicine. He has also competed in and won several local and state bodybuilding competitions.
