This gas station is a pile of junk for the following reasons:1) After seeing that the pump's credit card reader was dead, I went into the store and asked for 8 gallons of gas. The lady wouldn't take the time to do the math and did not know the price of a gallon of gas. I asked for a pad of paper and a pencil so that we could review what I owed the store after I completed the math. I said thank you once the transaction was complete and she said "...back in my day we didn't get this f-cking education that they got now." 2) grocery selection is abysmal. Cigarette selection is abysmal. 3). The cashiers smoke on the store. I've seen a guy drinking beer in the store also.4) everyone that works there seems angry. Not a comfortable atmosphere. 5). Credit card reader on pumps is still out of order. To summarize the things I noticed the two times that I've been there: the cashier was not helpful and used foul language, the store is poorly stocked and, nothing works. I haven't the foggiest idea how the store stays open.

While traveling 11/21/10 14:15 waiting for my husband to fill with gas, I noticed a young couple pulled just off the road barely into the property of Allen's Mobile station. They were not in the front parking area nor were they near the fuel pumps so my curiosity made me watch. They seemed confused and looking through the owners manual for their vehicle. I saw the store attendant go to them and was pleased to assume he was offering the travelers some assistance. Instead he was telling them they had to remove themselves from the property. They were not purchasing and could not loiter. They packed up and hobbled to the road side. Sitting along side the traffic they continued their attempts at repair. Finished fueling by this time, we stopped ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. My husband (age 72) changed their tire to a spare that was flat. Rather than go back to Allen's friendly service they opted to travel a bit to the next "service" station. Allen's failed at servicing the traveler miserably.
