I had a good experience at Osaka...the food was good, and the chef was very soft-spoken, but kind, and we got everything we asked for. A good time

DON'T GO!! RUN, FAST!! They combined my order with my husband's, giving him some of my order and then re-made it for me, but charged me again for their mistake; we had separate tickets and the sushi "chef" decided to combine our orders w/o asking us & we were seated at the sushi bar! Terrible, old nori; can't chew it, stale, old tasting. Yellowtail and red tuna served too warm; asked for our picks one at a time, "no problem"; chef made them as fast as he could "so we wouldn't be here all night" - we wanted to relax and have a leisurely dinner, not be rushed. More staff than customers and of the 3 sushi chefs, no one even said hello to us or spoke to us during dinner. Specifically asked if they used vingeared-rice for sushi -"oh yes, he trained in Japan - everything is authentic" NOT! Couldn't even enjoy our appetizer before we were slammed with dinner. STAY FAR AWAY!! I'm still searching for a really good sushi restaurant in MO; have found one in KS (2.5 hrs away) but would like to be able to go closer. This place isn't it. AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL. And then, you get to listen to bored (unshaven) waiters drumming on the countertops or watch waitresses flirt with other wait staff - really unprofessional and not why I'm eating there. "Sorry about the rough start; we'll get it right next time." AIN'T GONNA BE A NEXT TIME. Believe the bad reviews and save your money!!!
