      The Fulton County Health Department provides public health services to the residents of Fulton County, Ill., through health promotion, prevention and education activities. The department offers life skills classes to minimize stress and help teenagers to prevent tobacco and drug use. Its more than 50 programs protect local food and groundwater supply, as well as prevent the spread of communicable diseases. The Fulton County Health Department s solid waste program promotes the reduce, reuse and recycle concepts of solid waste management. The department specializes in several family, community and environment health services. It provides blood lead screening, family planning and food protection services. Founded in 1937, the Fulton County Health Department is located in Canton, Ill.
