To Guest94761: If you honestly believe you can match or beat their prices for fish, I doubt you have ever ordered any yourself. I cannot speak for salt water fish, but when it comes to freshwater, you are all washed up. You may well beat the price/fish, but you are leaving out the overnight shipping charges to guarantee live delivery. Even with a guarantee, you will eat the shipping charges on the dead fish and pay them again for the re-ship. Of course you can save some on shipping by going with a non overnight option with no live delivery guarantee. Also, you would have to buy large numbers to ever break even with FP's prices. Also, will the online dealer buy back or even take any unwanted stock back? NO. So if you buy 6 or so and grow them out to get a breeding pair, what do you do with the leftovers? Take em to Fish Pros then bag on their prices here? They aren't nearly as cheap as a big city aquatics store. But Amarillo is a small market. Just like a car is cheaper in Dallas.

Fish pros is a great place, yes the prices can be a little high but usually they can match prices with pretty much any place in town, the quality of the fish are great, they can always special order whatever you are looking for! I never mind paying 1.00 to see their reptile room, they are not amarillo zoo and it cost money to feed and keep electricity in the room considering most of their animals arnt for sale. My family loves it and it keeps the kiddos entertained!

How can you charge people $1.00 to go into a room that never changes and all the animals look diseased. All of the reptile cages have either urine or feces in them, mites on the snakes and the old shed are still in the cages. The entire room stinks and I do not see how they can charge for people to see this. Then the fish room. Half of the aquariums do not have light so you can see the fish and the prices are crazy. I had to wait in line for over 10 minutes just to check out. Not one person even acknowledged that I was there. Complete lack of customer service in that store. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Baught a nice Boa named her Bella and she is perfect, eats great never hv her strike and always pleased with the service and prices on her food and suplies. Thanks guys

We stoped in on a hunch and were amazed with prices, availability, service, so much that we went in with the entensions of buying 1 fish and left the store with, 2 snakes, 1 tarantula, used tank, tops and food and all at a very reasonable price. We for sure will be back.!

guest 94767 is a dummy go to "the cheaper places in amarillo" and you get what you pay for i will gladly pay 10-20% more for a fish that will survive and to talk to somebody who actually knows more about fish than that their favorite drink is water.

Fish Pros is AMAZING, they took our decent looking fish tank at Window World, and made it look like a million dollars! I would HIGHLY recomend Fish Pros to EVERYONE! Like is says in the name, They are PROS!

I searched the internet and found a great price on a new light setup for my coral tank. I bought the lights and received them within 3 weeks( really expected them sooner, but the price was great). During installation of the lights I found a mounting bracket broken. I contacted the company I made the purchase from (thru e-mails) and got the bracket replaced (it only took another 3 weeks to receive). I got the lights installed, and the tank looked great, for about four days. Thats when my corals started dying. At the risk of loosing hundreds of dollars in coral, I broke down and called FISH PROS to come look at the tank. It took a couple of seconds for them to figure out the problem. WRONG LIGHT ! ! ! ! The internet company had shipped the wrong bulbs with the light. FISH PROS ended up matching the internet price, gave me the installation, didn't charge me to diagnose the problem, had the same light setup in stock and they have AMAZING corals in their store at internet prices. definitely the best place to go in the whole Panhandle. Yes the fish are expensive, but the quality of the fish make up for the slightly higher cost. Buying from the Internet cannot guarantee that. The staff is very experienced in what they do, and are so helpful. The store is clean and the animals are always well kept. Anything I've needed they have been able to order for me. Wonderful place.

Fish Pros has really unique and nice animals and a knowledgeable staff. They are however very expensive for fish. You can get them for cheaper on the Internet or at other fish stores in Amarillo.
