If I could give this place a -1, I would. Everything they say they are going to do is a lie. My dog sits in a yard with 25 other dogs for5 hours at a time. There is no one on one time. They dis not follow any of my instructions. My dog came home with a bite mark & then they got very defensive with me. They said that my dog started it & then could not tell me what dog bit him. COme to find out, there is not anybody outside with these dogs. They are put out & then brought back in. So, I decided I would walk around outside. I sat for over an hour and the noise was so ridiculous. The dogs fight & howl the whole time. I would rather my dog be alone at home then be abused by being left alone with all these other dogs. NO THANKS

I started taking my dog there last year and they were excellent. I couldn't say enough about the care they gave my dog. Lately the care is not so great. They don't follow the instructions I give them for food. They end up over feeding him. He has come home from there with Diarrhea. Now they require a new shot and didn't make any information available about when they dogs needed to have the shot by. They also are inconstant with their charges and I feel like some of the wording on what they charge is deceptive. Meaning depending on the staff and their understanding of the fees you may or may not get charged for the service. I find that when I have a complaint or issue I am met with a lot of defensiveness and never get a real solution. We are really considering our options. Right now the only attractive thing for us is that there rates for daycare are cheaper then most around. At this point we are willing to pay for better quality care and service.

Damien went today for his first Doggie Day Camp - he came home very happy and tired! Not stressed out in the least - I also took him there for grooming about 3 weeks ago and was extremely satisfied with the job the groomer did...my dog was not stressed out in the least and is one very happy dog! He will be going there several times a month - the dog knows what is best for him and he would have shown signs if everyone wasn't absolutely wonderful to him.

I have been bringing my dogs to Best Friends Pet Care in Boxford for over 10 years now. I have tried other Kennels, but the excellent service I received at Best Friends keeps me wanting to come back. They took the best care of my senior dog when she was 15 so I did not have to worry and could go away without feeling guilty. My Dog is my child, and I trust the Counselors with her well being. My younger dog attends Doggie Day Care and loves every minute. She runs to the door every morning to make sure she gets to the car first to assure that I will drive her to Day Care. I highly recommend their services to everyone. They truly care about the Animals and it shows.

ive known some employees & i know they do their job with the utmost care & efficiency! i just wish they cared for parrots too!

i would not recommend this place to anyone. they do not care about the animals and the ones that stay with them sit in their own urine and poo. this place is horrible, my dog came home smelling like urnine and had pooped stuck to his bum. when i called to find out why the girl told me she had no clue. when i asked to speak to a manger she said she was the manager. so this tells me that no one that works for them knows what they are doing and the state animal control officer should investigate them. my dog has now been sick for 4 days after coming home and the vet says that he has a parasite. i called the kennel again and they said they would not cover his vet bill even though i paid extra money for insurance that he would be ok. they said they would not pay because i waited 4 days to take him to the vet even though i called right after i got home. i asked the manager if i could speak with someone higher up and she said no. so i am writing my issue here for you all to see. do not go here!
