- Dental CareOur caring technical team is made up of Technician Assistants and Technicians. This creates a layered level of expertise in the exam room and surgery area. The team is able to converse with you about the many issues that may arise when you have a pet, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pet owner. They are a compassionate group of qualified caregivers maintaining a high standard of quality care. The technicians assist with patient exams and strive to make the experience positive and stress-free. In surgery, they monitor your pets under anesthesia, perform dental cleanings, and assist the doctor as their right hand person for tooth extractions, spay/neuter surgeries, and growth removal procedures, just to name a few.
- VaccinationShepherd Veterinary Clinic is a full service veterinary clinic offering both wellness and non-well care. Our wellness program includes annual examinations, vaccination against diseases that occur in the area, and managing medications to prevent diseases. A yearly exam establishes your pet as an active patient. This exam allows us to monitor the health of your pet throughout his or her life and catch any health issues that might arise. The active patient status gives you access to special privileges such as technician appointments for certain services and vaccination clinics for doctor prescribed follow up vaccinations. The vaccine clinics are held on the first Tuesday and third Thursday of each month between 7pm - 8pm. To encourage public safety for all members of the community, any animal without an “active patient” status may receive the rabies vaccination only at these clinics. Please understand that without the yearly exam, our doctors do not have up to date information regarding your pets overall health, which is required for the dispensing of heartworm and other medications for disease prevention and good health.
