Nordic Properties, run by Steve Novisoff, is an absolutely horrid company. Rated along all the difficult to work with rental companies in this college town, Nordic Properties is the scum at the bottom of the barrel. Steve is greedy and abuses the legal system to force people to live in suboptimal conditions and then proceeds to steal from them after all the headaches and horrible experiences they had to go through with him during the rental period. We lived at 2320 Goss and not only was the place disgusting and dirty but he refused to fix or take responsibility for anything. When we would finally get ahold of the maintenance man, he would come into our apartment at any time he pleased, leaving our front door wide open and even coming into my room once while I was asleep. We had neighbors who we shared a wall with that played incredibly loud music at all hours of the day and night shaking our apartment. When we tried to call Steve with the issues that were taking place, he would scream at us. He is unstable and uses yelling and fear tactics to intimidate his tenants. To top it all off he illegally stole our deposit at the end of our lease, after all we had gone through and refuses to respond to any of our inquiries. If you are considering taking the risk to rent from this company all I can say is ABSOLUTELY DON’T. You will regret every minute that you live in a Nordic Property apartment, Steve will harass you if you ever try to do anything about it, and you will never get your deposit back.

Landlord, Steve N, was a fairly nice guy in the beginning. Will say anything to get you to sign a lease. Told us the electricity, water and trash were all free.( I know right, what a good deal) I asked him that again before the move in and he said- Yes, that's right. Find out after getting an energy bill that we cover all energy. After 10 calls in he finally answers and says no, Nordic only pays for water heating---not even sure what that means?! Also the apt was not prof. cleaned, only carpet cleaned and sprayed air freshener. Carpets wern't replaced even though there was a cat there. He told us there would be new carpets right on move-in--FALSE. Took 2 weeks to get carpet guy and didn't even do bedrooms--only living room! DO A CHECK-IN LIST WITH LANDLORD!! (my mistake) Move out---he must use the most expensive carpet cleaning service and maid service in the US! $285 for carpet cleaning and then they say they cleaned the apt (yup APT!) for 7hrs after we cleaned before move-out?! JOKE!
