After reading employee reviews of Lincare managment, my review seems consistent with the degree of employee dissatisfaction. Apparently, employees are overworked; management is unresponsive; employees don't get the training they require, and policies are inconsistent. We had no idea employees on the phone received commissions. This policy explains why one agent in Boone, NC gave my wife a hard sell when she wanted her oxygen device picked up before we moved out of the area. Also, my wife had been conscientious in notifying the Boone, NC Lincare office well in advance of ourdeparture date and gave them two dates, prior to our departure, for pick up. She was later contacted by a MO central office that the equipment would be picked up on one of those dates. She was told that, if she did not heard from the Boone office in two days, to call back to the central office. Not hearing from the local people, she later called the central office as directed. Then she called the local office. The agent answering the phone said she wasn't sure when the equipment would be picked up because they were short of employees. My wife asked her if she was even on the list for that day. She said, "I don't know." My wife then asked her to check the list and she replied that she was on it. Finally, my wife asked her whether the man would be coming morning or afternoon to collect the equipment. She said probably afternoon. So we arranged our day to be available. No one came, and no one called. Not a way to do business. I put all of this on poor management.
