Great food & staff, AMAZING homegrown wine & beer!!! No sulfates. Blueberry wine, port, semisweet wine & huge blueberry beer bottles. WISH IT WAS ALL YEAR. Dinner starts 5pm- 8pm for seating (not listed here)

My criteria for an excellent restaurant has been service, the food and setting. J's Restaurant has topped all three. The service was friendly with appropriate timing in service of the food. The food was delicious particularly the squash soup which on a autumn day was delightful. However, the setting was the most enjoyable. As an mature and older person, the ambiance was wonderful in which the setting reminded me of an old movie from the 1940's (or as a child in the 1950's). I was waiting for a movie character from those years to walk in and take a seat. Above all, the view was just added to the entire warm feeling and experience. Thank you and Good eating...
