- Wrongful DeathPeter has also recovered substantial jury verdicts and settlements for patients harmed by preventable medical errors. These matters involve many different fields of medicine. Numerous patients have needlessly suffered wrongful death or been unfairly deprived of the opportunity to treat and cure their terminal illness. Several have ended up in a comatose like state or have been permanently inflicted with cerebral palsy or other forms of brain damage. As a result of his tireless advocacy on behalf of victims, Peter was appointed Vice Chairman of the NJ State Bar Association’s Special Committee on Medical Malpractice.

In 2014, he recovered the largest individual reported public settlement in New Jersey for sexual molestation of a child. Steven began his New Jersey practice as a partner in a small New Jersey firm before joining Chasan Lamparello Mallon & Cappuzzo, PC.
- Corporate LawAs the Hudson Vicinage assignment judge from 1990 to 2004, Arthur supervised 30 superior court judges, 560 employees and 11 municipal courts, overseeing a $23 million budget and 90,000 case filings annually. His workload included managing and trying significant civil and chancery matters involving governmental entities, corporate governance, class actions, public bidding, construction concerns, environmental issues, employment matters, contracts, torts, and election disputes. As a member of the Judicial Council, charged with managing the state’s trial courts, Arthur co-chaired the Management and Operations Committee; chaired the Labor Relations and Personnel Committee; and for a dozen years presided over the Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Outside Activities of Judiciary Employees, focusing on code of conduct compliance. With an eye toward the future, he served as a member of the Supreme Court’s Strategic Planning Committee, helping to forge a plan to fund, modernize and unify the state’s court system.

Lamparello became the first Hudson County attorney in 40 years to be sworn in as President of the State Bar Association. Steven L. Menaker serves on the Supreme Court Disciplinary Review Board. Most recently, Robert A. Kaye was elected Chair of the NJSBA’s Business Law Section and John V. Mallon was appointed Chair of the Association’s Insurance Defense Committee.
