I have a 30 Model A that has a B engine. The engine was leaking oil, and I had so many problems that I was ready to sell the car. I called Ryan and he sent me the plans for a wooden crate to send in my engine and flywheel to them. It was easy to build and send with FexEx from Santa Clara California. Told him to fix it, lighten up the fly wheel and put in a new clutch and the 6.1 head. That was last November 2017 and I did not want it back until some time in January 2018. When I was ready so was the engine. Installed the engine and I could not believe the difference. What a joy to drive now. I have put about 1700 miles on the engine and I think it is even running better. Drove the Model A from Santa Cruz Ca at sea level to Reno Nevada when the temperature was close to 100 degrees this June. Not a problem at all crossing the Sierra Mountains to Reno at 5000 feet. On the way back I drove the car over Mt Rose at 9000 feet and around lake Tahoe. It ran great. I take the car to Santa Cruz all the time over the 1200 foot mountain. The engine runs smooth and has plenty of power at any elevation. Could not be happier with their work.

Many times people do not take the time to give credit where credit is due. I want to take the time to do so. I have a 1930 Model A car. I had problems with a competitor of Antique Engine Rebuilding. The engine was not running properly. It also had an oil leak. The competitor told me it was fixed. Believe me it wasn't. The cylinders were not honed properly, consequently the pistons scored the cylinders. The competitor would not own up to his mistake. Then I bought an engine from Antique Engine Rebuilding. They put it in for me. Since then I have not had one problem with the car. It is running smoothly. I want to thank you Rich Fallucca for going above and beyond helping me. You took the time to go over the entire engine before you sold me my new engine. I have enjoyed driving my car and I owe that to you. I noticed that you have a negative review. I read it and I am not sure if the gentleman understands that many engines have cracks in them. This does not mean the cracks cause leaks. Many times the cracks are surface cracks.I thought the oil leaks were leaking from a seal. Your website showed me it wasn't. It actually was leaking from the cap. Again, I want to thank you so much for your help and expertise. You are an honest man and I will recommend all of my Model A buddies to deal with you. Also, I want to mention your website is easy to read and extremely helpful.

In August, I had to replace the engine in my model A. I purchased the engine from Antique Engine Rebuilding, and they sent me a new engine, which lasted all of 200 miles before a 4-5 inch crack was revealed in the block causing radiator fluid to spray all over the street as I drove.

I was shocked to discover that the crack had been repaired with solder and then painted over!

Thankfully, it was under warranty, so I had them ship me a new engine. When it arrived, we inspected it, and found 3 more cracks in the block each with similar solder repairs, and some along sealing surfaces that would have compromised the seals.

I am asking for a refund, which he's willing to provide if I send him both the engine blocks I have. He's already sold my old engine, so I can't get that back. This leaves me stranded without a core to exchange or rebuild.
