Bloomington High School South is a public school that serves more than 1,900 students in grades 9 through 12. It is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. The school s academic curriculum includes programs in English, mathematics, social studies, U.S. history and economics. Bloomington High School South additionally has a health and physical education department. Its science program includes classes in biology, physics and chemistry. The school offers a range of extracurricular activities, including the National Honor Society, student council, Science Olympiad, Business Professionals of America and Math League. Its athletics department offers various sports activities, such as golf, soccer, cross country, track and field, tennis, basketball, swimming, diving, volleyball, football, softball and baseball.
