Gilbert Linkous Elementary School serves more than 300 students and employs over 30 teachers. The school enrolls students in kindergarten through grade five. The school s academic curriculum includes physical education, reading, science, English, math and social studies. In addition to classroom experiences, students are taught in special areas of art, media, music and technology. Gilbert Linkous Elementary School also organizes several activity groups and social and cultural events. The school maintains a parent-teacher organization that sponsors many educational programs for students, funds special trips and offers support to the entire school community. A part of Montgomery County Public Schools, Gilbert Linkous Elementary School is located in Blacksburg, Va.
