Contracted with Cherokee Hills in July of 2014 to replace rotted wood trim around exterior of home, including windows and chimney. In addition, they would paint the exterior, repair the screened in deck and steps, and pressure wash the exterior. Painting and work on the deck was done satisfactorily, basically everything that was easily visible. However, as soon as the work was completed we noticed water pouring into our deck when it rained. This was not an issue before the work was completed. It was also obvious that some of the wood used to replace our deck stairs was rotten. Contacted the owner who came out to review the situation, agreed with our assessment of the stairs, and the bad wood was replaced. He also said that the water coming into the deck was nothing more than that they'd failed to replace a tile on the roof properly, and that he fixed it. Not the case, next time it rained, same water stream into the deck. My wife and I both contacted the owner on numerous occasions to return to re-evaluate the situation, always said he would as soon as he had a chance, and he never returned. Eventually had another contractor come out to assess the problem. He pointed out to me that a good bit of the "new" trim on the chimney was actually old, rotten wood/siding that had been painted over (he handed me the old, rotten pieces). From far-away, which is the only way I can see the chimney, it looked great. Reality is what I couldn't see was crumbling materials that I had paid to be replaced, were not, which meant I paid twice to have the same work completed.
