I just had a mammogram here. This was not my first time here. I was actually diagnosed with breast cancer by AGH back in 2013. I had implants in both breast when I was diagnosed. I decided to go to Mercy in Baltimore for all of my treatments. After a lumpectomy in 2013 I went back to AGH for my mammogram in February of 2014. I was told all was good. I then had a 3D mammogram at Mercy in August of 2014 again diagnosed with breast cancer same breast. Next step bilateral mastectomy. So I again went back to AGH in 2015 for my mammogram. Now at this point you are probably wondering why I keep going back. Well for whatever reason Mercy's imaging stop accepting my Blue Cross Blue Choice insurance. The doctors honored it but not the imaging. So now just last month I have my yearly mammogram at AGH. As the tech is putting my breast ( that has an implant in it) in the imaging machine, she proceeds to ask me if I was first diagnosed here at AGH. I tell her yes, she then tells me how odd that is because they normally miss it when implants are involved. So when I was given the thumbs up that all is good I am thinking ... really?
