I recently got engaged. My fiance picked out the most beautiful ring and I love it but let me tell you, Kay's has been nothing but a nightmare. I had to send my ring in to be resized. It not only took two weeks to resize it, but when it came back the prongs were melted, there were deep scratches in the metal, the 10k white gold was discolored and a one prong was bent so badly that it snagged on my clothing and completely broke off the same day I picked it up. I was devastated. It was such a beautiful ring when I got it, and they just destroyed it. When I went in to see if they would fix it, they told me that I would have to exchange it for a whole new ring and that for each day the new ring was gone they would add money to a compensatory gift card.

Well, that new ring came in yesterday. And guess what? It fits perfectly but It's BROKEN.... AGAIN.... Part of the solitaire is completely severed from the ring. I don't know how this sort of thing could happen AGAIN... I'm so beyond frustrated with Kay's Jewelers. Also, that compensatory gift card we received was a whopping $25....... Honestly I was expecting a bit more since they destroyed ring #1 and ring #2.

Another concern was that my fiance signed up for the Kay's Card, which means you can pay off the ring in 12 months interest free. He paid his first monthly payment on time and everything. He checked his account and they had charge him interest. We've only had the ring for a month.... So I'm assuming they were hoping he wouldn't notice so that they can get more money?...

Long story short, I wouldn't recommend Kay's to anyone unless they want to be overcharged and have damaged jewelry...
