The food here has been nothing short of spectacular. I was taken here by some friends for my birthday dinner, never eaten at Ariana's before. I was blown away by the flavors in my scallops dish. Can't wait to go back.
I was at Ariana's the other night and they had a Wild King Salmon the other night with a caper butter sauce was just to die for. The fish was perfectly cooked and the flavors worked really well. My wife and I will be going back this weekend.
I have had the pleasure of eating at Ariana for dinner. Let me tell you, after trying every restaurant in Bend, this is by far my husband and I favorite place to eat. On especially cold nights they have the fire going, giving a worm and romantic feeling. They have a nice wine list offering a wide variety of wines from the northwest. I am particularly a big fan of the scallops and risotto while my husband tends to lean more towards the tenderloin. The staff is knowledgeable and pleasant, two thumbs way up from two very happy patrons.
What a bunch of pretentious a-holes run this place. They can't be from Oregon, my guess is California. They have a sign out front that says they were the restaurant of the year, but it looks like something they had made themselves. No reputable reviewer could name this place restaurant of the year, unless they were some how compensated. Perhaps they bought a bunch of advertising in some rag and that got them the award. Stay away from this place, unless you want to spend the next 48 hours in the bathroom. It was so ridiculously priced for what comes out of the kitchen, I can do better myself, and I am a horrible cook. Bend has many great places to eat, but this definitely is not one of them. Save yourself the time and money and go anywhere else, I guarantee it will be a better experience. I gave it one star only because it was required to publish the review, no stars is much more accurate.
We made reservations(Recommended), It was a Cold Night, we sat in front of the fire place, the service it's the best we ever had in Bendt, order appetizers the fondue and the calamary, Yummy. Then we had entrees Lamb and Risotto, both outstanding, then we share the Sachertorte . Great night out, great food and great wine.
It was a dark and stormy night. My husband and I, visiting from LA, were craving some home cooked food. We went to Ariana's on a friends recommendation. (Poor things, they've lived in Bend their whole lives. What do they know?) The best part about it was that I remember when the space was A Cup of Magic so I had some very good memories there. They sat us by the fireplace which was great because it was 27 degrees outside with wind and rain. Well, things went downhill from there. I ordered a bottle of San Pelligrino and after about 10 minutes the server came back and said they were out. But bless his heart, he had run over to next door 7-11 to see if they had any! (They didn't.) Truly I can't even remember what we ordered...nothing stuck in my mind except the steak frites. My husband is a chef and was unable to recognize the cut of beef that I was served. Scary. And it was huge! Why do most restaurants in Bend think quantity equals quality? The service was attentive and the atmosphere was so effin' cozy I almost didn't want to leave. Except I think we stopped at Rigoberto's on the way home...
