My name is Kasondra Francis and I run a bakery in Bellingham, W.A. called Flax4Life. We make wheat free, flax muffins. We have been in business for just over 4 years. The first year was dedicated to product development. We wanted to create a muffin that had many health benefits, was wheat free, made with natural ingredients but most importantly tasted great! The decision to develop a product that was wheat free and health oriented originated a few years ago when members of my family became very ill. In 2000, my aunt and uncle became sick, which was unexpected because they had both lead very healthy lifestyles. They spent over two years seeing specialists and naturopathic physicians, visiting the best doctors and hospitals in the nation. The doctors could not figure out what was wrong and my uncle ended up in a wheel chair. Eventually it was discovered that they had celiac disease as well as diabetes. One year later, my grandfather and father were both diagnosed with celiac, as well. Our company was born shortly thereafter. Our commitment is to provide you with the highest quality product, produced in a dedicated gluten-free facility where we make only our flax muffins. I do want to let our customers know that our product does contain oats. Oats do not contain gluten, although they are frequently contaminated in their natural environment and in some cases, the facility that they are processed in. Our distributor processes their oats in a facility where only oats are handled, which has greatly reduced the chance of any cross contamination. We have had our muffins gluten tested numerous times and they have always come back at 0 ppm. All of our other high quality ingredients are guaranteed gluten free. The ingredients can help your health with benefits such as: OMEGA 3's support cardiovascular health and help maintain normal cholesterol levels with a high concentration of ALA OMEGA 3 essential fatty acids. Each muffin contains 3, 200mg of ALA Omega 3's. Promotes regularity and healthy digestion to the beneficial HIGH FIBER content. Each muffin has 10 grams of fiber.
