Always get the right answer from these guys. Great parts selection and they've helped me repair my own appliances many times. When I cant do it my self they are usually here next day. Well trained and very helpful. Caroline has found many hard to get parts for our units saving us a lot of grief and money. Thanks

I have worked with First Appliance about 20 years. Owning several small apartment complexes, they have been quite quick and fair on repairs. The last repair, in my own home was for a dryer with no heat. It was repaired next day, first visit.

I have bought parts here for my apartments for many years. Caroline is a great help with some of my older hard to find appliances. Usually in stock or a day away.

The technician that came to my place was Brandon. He is very rude and unprofessional. Did not complete the job and left half way.

Details:
The technician was working on replacing the drain pipe of my dishwasher which had leaks in it. I was observing him making the changes from a distance. The technician rudely asked me if I didn't have anything better to do and asked me to not watch him making the changes (go stand over there, he said). When I told him I was standing far enough and I wanted to see what was happening, he said if I did not stop watching him, he would leave, so I told him he is free to leave anytime. He left leaving the dishwasher not fixed.

Had the misfortune of having James come to our house to fix our washer. There was a built in shelf giving about an inch above the washer and dryer. The way the washer was built demanded that you get underneath it to reach some bolts and pull out the housing. For that, you would need to tilt the washer, but the shelf was in the way. I started to pull the washer out. I work for a moving company, so I have a lot of experience moving stuff around and solving spacial problems, I would have been able to pull it out and make sure James had adequate space to work. However, James insisted that the best course of action would be to drive the shelf upward, and work within the small space. I tried to problem solve with him and tell him I was concerned about breaking the shelf or scratching the walls and as the blinking F21 message indicated a drainage problem, I was concerned about water leaking onto the floor and puddling up behind it. He insisted that he knew what he was doing and proceeded to refer to me as young man as he boasted his "years of experience" on me. Frustrated at his almost insulting belittlement of me, I gave in and let him have his way. Had he of done a good job, despite being insulted I would not be writing this. However, after about an hour or so and after cursing across the house multiple times with my younger siblings around: sure enough I came up to inspect his job. The shelf was put back crooked, nails bent, extremely expensive wood trim damaged and a huge puddle of water behind the washer. In the end, I had to pull the whole washer out anyway to dry up the mess. Had I of not known to inspect his job, my mom could of been the victim of another half-ass know-it-all repair man and been replacing walls for water damage. If these are the kind of repair technician this company hires, I advise you to steer clear.

These guys are the best. They have saved me a lot of money over the years with advice and recommendations. Last time I was there they told me I didn't need a new water valve, but I bought it anyway and went home to put it in. When I took the washer apart to 'fix' my washer, sure enough the valve was not the problem. When I went back for the right part, and eat some crow, they offered to take the valve back! I kept it anyway and bought the right part. Washer worked like a charm until the coupler broke this past weekend. I'm heading to Appliance Parts & Service Company after work today to get the RIGHT part.

Awesome place for service and friendliness. We had a fairly new element (3 years is pretty new to me) with our warming element. He was kind enough to take it apart! he looked at it and decided it was simple enough to fix on the spot! No hassle and only asked that we send others his way. Thank you!

I've used these guys twice, and they were a great help. The first time, I spent about 20 minutes with them on the phone diagnosing a problem with my washer. They ended up suggesting a $29 part to save me from scrapping the 8 year old machine. I came in, got directions on how to replace it, and it lasted another 5 years.More recently, I brought my almost-new smooth top stove in to have them repair the (broken) ceramic top. Even though everyone told me it would be cheaper to just replace the stove, Appliance Parts and Service had the part available for pretty cheap, and they only charged about $50 to put it in for me. It was well under 1/2 the cost of buying a new stove. (As a side note, they stayed open an extra 20 minutes so that I could pick up the stove late one night after work.)A great store, and great people.

I called them to ask about a loud sound my fridge was making. I had looked up troubleshooting info on it and already removed the grill off the back to see if I could figure it out. Everything looked like it was running okay and the mountings were secure. I talked to someone at this place and told him what I'd done, which he said sounded like a good approach. He thought it was probably the compressor and when I asked him how much that part was, he said about $800! I joked that it would be better to buy a new fridge and he agreed. He then said if it were him, he'd just wait til it broke, because it could last another day or another few years. I appreciated his honesty and was relieved to get someone who would just say it like it is, rather than trying to sell me something. Thanks!!!
