Garza West allowed my grandson Bryan Shackerford to be killed by hanging after being in the intake division for 2 days. He did not even get a chance to get evaluated or assign to a unit when Garza West notified us that Bryan had been hung in his cell. Garza West is truly negligent in its process and if it had not been for the negligence of Garza West intake unit, my grandson Bryan Shackerford would still be alive. I am looking for other stories of loved ones being killed at Garza West because of its negligence so that we can put a stop to our love ones dying in the Texas Prison System.
