We moved to BC in February and have been going to PetCo here.. So far we have had pretty good service. We take our two dogs in for grooming and have had good experiences. The girls out front aren't the most happy people in the world, but none have been rude, so far. We will keep going there until something like that happens..

I used to work here and it was a great place to work. Staff knows a lot of great information, and can help you with many issues that come up with a furry friend.

The staff has no people skills. I run a salt water tank and have tried fish from the battle creek petco with NO luck. They have sold me fish and said they were one thing only to find out they were another... they have told me that very aggressive fish are community friendly and I have had infections in my tank that have killed off almost all of my fish that I paid $60 for. When I call them with concerns they tell me its my water and that they would me more than happy to test it for me. Everything was fine on my end. All in all I would MUCH rather make the trip to Kzoo to visit MV Pets (who are cheaper anyways) or petco in portage.

My sister had told us the Petco in Battle Creek had staff that were rude and rolled their eyes at her and her son when they went in to purchase products from their store. She had even called the manager to discuss the situation but did not receive the kind of response expected.



We went in to purchase some supplies for our pets, and sure enough, the female associate was rude and condescending and yes, actually rolled her eyes as if we were idiots. She also gave us inaccurate advice for our pet. My 14, 12, and 9 year old children could not believe how this person acted towards them. It was a great lesson on customer service!



When we called concerning an item that we purchased that was defective, we were told that they could not track it through our petperks account, thus we could not return it. When we called the Kalamazoo store, they said they could track our purchase by our petperks account. We will do our shopping at Petco in Kalamazoo from now on where we get quality service from associates that care about their customers.
