Always evolving.
- General Info
- Kingman Museum's roots go deep into our communitys past. The first collections were acquired during the civil war and became part of the Battle Creek Public School system. It was one of the first museums to be owned and operated by a public school system.Today Kingman Museum has a world class collection of natural history specimens, new exhibitions and a state-of-the art planetarium system. We have a small staff supported by over 250 active volunteers who serve as board members, help us to meet our building and ground maintenance needs, deliver educational programs, provide office support and collections care, and more, donating over 6,000 hours of service annually. Our mission is to provide lifelong learning opportunities in natural history, the universe, and world cultures for all ages, for all time.
