The Louisiana Disaster Recovery Foundation, also known as LDRF, is a private, nonprofit agency that offers relief and recovery programs for disaster survivors. Established in 2005, the agency has helped more than 2500 families in hurricane-affected areas. It assists with the enhancement of civic infrastructure. The Louisiana Disaster Recovery Foundation provides housing services in coordination with several homeowners, renters, builders, developers and support agencies. The agency also offers assistance with issues related to economic development, education, environment and health care. It offers education programs for the victims of disasters. In addition, the Louisiana Disaster Recovery Foundation provides support services for small businesses and microentrepreneurs.
