This store was right in line with other hippie head shops as far as pricing but what I think stood out was the selection of clothing! There were lots of gorgeous Free People and other brand dresses that went beyond the basics that you would find other places. I must have tried on 5 dresses and it was a tough decision between my favorite two. This store will be a must-go-to destination any time I'm in Bar Harbor, and with a little luck the dress that was not chosen will still be there. Fingers crossed!

On our recent trip to the Acadia region, we shopped in "Jekyll and Hyde Shops", 70 Main Street, in Bar Harbor and had a very bad experience with the terms of the sale. My wife bought an on-sale sweat shirt and found it was too small when tried on at home.When we brought it back to the store, the store staff were helpful in trying to find the next larger size, but there were none. After looking at what was available, the only possible choice was twice as expensive and was not even the desired color choice.When we tried to return the item, the clerk pointed out the terms of sale written on the charge sales slip, "No returns". We expressed our displeasure to the store owner. She claimed that there were signs on the door to notify customers of the policy. My disappointment with the merchant is that there were NO signs of any kind on the door or window or for that matter inside the store near the cashiers. I believe this is a sleazy way to do business and DO NOT RECOMMEND THE STORE!

My favorite shop when on the Celebrity, Constellation ship October 7. My friend from Texas and I had a most pleasant shopping experince there and bought several lovely pieces of jewelry. The clerks were both very friendly and knowedable about the jewelry. If I could get an e-mail address, I would be most grateful. I highly recommend Jekyll & Hyde as the best shop in Bar Harbor, great selection and value for the money.Mary Kay Pliler
