General Info
Acadia Hearing Center, with offices in Ellsworth and Bangor, Maine, provides audiology services, including hearing evaluations, and hearing aid sales/service for nearly all brands of hearing aids. We're a 'patient-friendly' ethically-driven practice and enjoy the company of those who come to see us. We also are responsive to your needs. For example, we know that if you've bought a hearing aid, you've quickly become very used to hearing well. If there's a problem with your aid, you don't want to be in that soundless void again for any longer than necessary so we do our very best to see you within a day (sometimes even the same day). We often can fix whatever is wrong right then and there! Our offices are conveniently located and we can provide easy driving directions. You can call us at 667-4014 (Ellsworth) or 942-4433 (Bangor). Acadia Hearing Center was founded in the mid 1980s in affiliation with the medical practice of Bangor Ear, Nose & Throat. In 2004, with the closing of BENT, ownership of Acadia Hearing Center was assumed by David Cuthbertson as an independent hearing health care private practice. We have offices very conveniently located in Ellsworth and Bangor, Maine and we also see patients at Treworgy Pharmacy in Calais. All of our Patients are seen by David A. Cuthbertson, AuD., CCC-A. Mr. Cuthbertson is licensed by the State of Maine as an audiologist and hearing aid dealer/fitter. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University with his primary emphasis in Communication Disorders and a minor in primary school special education. He was awarded a Master of Arts degree in Clinical and Rehabilitative Audiology by the University of Connecticut. Presently David is pursuing a Doctor Degree in Audiology and expects to be awarded an Au. D. in the late fall of 2007. David has worked in schools for the deaf, has implemented industrial hearing conservation programs and has been the managing director of two private hearing health care
