Parking is great. I have picky eaters in the family. It is a nice place for everyone to choose what they would love to eat differently. We go for special events and tonight we are taking their Papa for his 72nd Birthday dinner. His favorite is fried catfish.

I fell in love with Golden Corral years ago but on my first visit to the Bakersfield restaurant on Ming St I came home with something I never expected (see picture). This is so disappointing and since I live over 30 miles away I can’t take it back and I’m out over $20.
It was green, no good. It was liver and bad. Check your food closely and I won’t be going back there.

What is there not to like delicious unhealthy fatty foods. I eat there every day.
I cant help it. The chocolate fountain the cotton candy.

The Food at Golden Corral is hot and fresh, well monitored and kept up. With the exception of free-range children in the dessert area....but what ya gonna do?

Dollar for dollar you cannot beat this place for value and for Friday and for good tasting food. I love the fried fish potatoes and gravy huge vegetable assortment always a good Desert variety. I go you're sometimes two or three times a week. Go eat any place else for one item and you spend as much or more as you do at the Golden corral for hundreds of varieties. It's a given fact the bathrooms are always clean and sometimes they are Third World country. But I don't go there to use the restroom I go there save money on food and get a killer variety. I would vies going in the family bathroom. It is usually empty good standard for cleanliness. There can be some of noxious children are running wild all their parents sit and talk very loud and laugh at the top of their lungs like they're the only ones in there . Although I've read some hard terrible reviews on here I don't agree with him for my situation. I just wonder if corporate ever reach these things.

Mw and my husband just ate at golden corral in bakerfield and it was terrible. So unsanitary bathrooms looked like they hadnt been cleaned cooks were walking in and out of food service area without washing hands and touching food with bare hands. Yuck we will never eat there again

HOW WE SPENT VALINTINES DAY #43 My first and LAST time!!!!!! Thought that my husband, Sister and her husband, was going to have a great time. DID NOT HAPPEN :( .. While in line to pay, one of the workers dropped the lid to the ice machine on my foot. They couldn't be soooo helpful. UNTIL we got ready to leave. Then the g/m went wako on us. Dinner was free but was in so much pain I was going to take my dinner home. Nash the g/m said it was ok ,but because I asked for another box for desert, and insurance info. I thought they were going to call police. I don't think my foots broke just looks bad, but I have no insurance or info. even after calling and trying to get the info. Nash went wako again :( Well I hope everyone had a better one then us.

The waste we took our grandson to Goiden Corral on Saturday for his birthday.Drove a hour and a half to just sit down start to eat and wanting one more thing and guy that work their was working over the food and shorted out the light and sparks went all over the food and it was left for people to eat.Called them this morning the man at Golden Corral just said sorry.Tried to tell them Saturday was a waste of $30.05

I love eating here the food is always very good I like that they have different food

The service is awful the manger allowed her cashier to mock customers while having the doors lock during business hours. My experience was awful

The food was horrible I spent too much money for dry food or no food my first visit with my family and my last clean your bathrooms people

I was there the other nite and there was 5 of us and they charged me for 6 people gotta watch them

I have never ate at another GC but the one here in bakersfield is awful. Food was nasty, service wasnt good. To make matters worst my mother friend found bugs in her meat.

First of all me n my family got there at 9:30pm. The website says they close at 11:30pm. Well when we got all the food was out but by 10:00pm most of the food was put up. We had to find a associate everytime we wanted something then they would have to go find it in the back. All the food was dry and cold. I believe management does that so they dont have to pay people to start cleaning up after 11:30pm to save few bucks but produce horrible quality. well to top the night off the nasty taco meat my wife was trying to enjoy had a long hair in it. we even showed them it was all in the meat it didn't fall in there after words n my wife had her hair covered anyways. so ya I don't think we will ever go back again.

Ate at the Golden Corral here in Bakersfield, CA for the first time last night. I was one of the worst places I have ever eaten. There was no food out. The food had no flavor. The place was over crowed. The workers that were getting the food out were extremely rude. There were way to many kids putting their hands in the food, six times they made an announcement that parents need to get their kids out of the food area if they were under the age of 12 and not with a parent. On a good note the cook that was doing the Steaks was on it. The waitress and waiter we had made sure our drinks were always full. Don't know if I will ever go back. I have eaten at other Golden Corrals in the U.S. and the food was a lot better. Think I will stick to Panda Palace on Oak Street.

Everyone I know Like this place. My wife loves it! Huge selection of just about everything. The service is also really good and the young folks that wait on you are very attentive and extremely nice. The early bird special between 2-4 PM is also a money save. They also have senior discounts. (Gotta be something good about getting older)

the first day I went I thought it was go to be a very good place well in reality the palce is nice and the food is great but the service was no good I ask for a high chair 6 times to diffrent people until I went and find one my self. the drink that I got in front was the only one I had because they did not went to my table and gave me another one. I went to get food two times and all the plates were on my table nobody went to get them it was a very bad service.

My famiky and I went Thanksgiving night. There was no wait! The food and service was great. Some members of my family are picky eaters so was not sure they would be happy. But they even thought the food was great! My only complaint is they need to reorganize their salad bar a bit better and there were not enough desserts.

I was happy to be there opening day and for a Thanksgiving meal. Delicious! Great selection! Kern County is long over due for a Golden Corral!
