Friends of ours told us about Desert Sands Resort , we went with them for a week stay , we were very happy with our stay , very clean room . Very friendly staff very accommodating. Restaurant very close to the hotel with very good food. My wife and I will definitely be returning again enjoy your stay very much

Desert Sand is a nice place. Outdoor pool, good sized rooms and great special rates. Our kids had a great time last year and we are staying again this summer. Short distance ride to boardwalk and beach is a block away Awesome.

Stayed this past weekend with my husband and 5 yr old son at the Desert Sand Resort in Avalon. Check in was easy. We stayed in a efficiency suite. The room looked as if it was remodeled recently as it was very modern and clean! There were 2 flat screen TV's, apartment size stainless refrigerator, sink, 2 burner glass top stove, pull out trash can. The bathroom was nicely decorated and had all the amenities of a nice hotel. Plenty of towels. Bedroom was a nice size and bed was comfortable. Extra pillows in the closet. (We didn't get that at some of the Marriott locations we have stayed at). Nice love seat with pull -out in the living room area.



The outdoor pool was a nice size and very clean! It was surrounded with large comfortable lounge chairs. There were additional lounge chairs on the sun decks. There was a nice size heated indoor pool. We didn't use it since the weather was nice. Great option on bad-weather days.



Beach tags were included (with deposit). The beach was real close..practically across the street.



We had dinner at the on-site restaurant Fuze. We had 5:00pm reservations so it was quiet. We ordered from the limited menu (offered from 5-6pm). The food and service were excellent.



We totally enjoyed our stay at this lovely resort and plan to go back next summer...for a longer stay.

I just stayed at the Desert Sand this past weekend. It was extremely clean, the staff were all very nice and helpful, the new rooms are so beautiful. I just cant say enough about it here. I will be returning next year and I cant wait. The Desert Sand is in prime location of both Avalon and Stone Harbor. I am extremely satisfied with my overall stay here and will recommend the Desert Sand to anyone who will be visiting the Avalon/Stone Harbor area.
