      General Info
      Incepted in 1959, WCID17 is a water control and improvement district. Based in Austin, Texas, it is a retail nonprofit public utility providing quality water and wastewater service to customers in the Lake Travis area in west Travis County. The district provides water service to over 8,500 customer accounts and wastewater service to over 4,000 customer accounts. WCID17 also offers solid waste, recycling, plumbing, construction, wastewater treatment and water conservation services. The district serves a population of approximately 24,000 people.
