Established in 1934, Travis Association for the Blind, also known as the Austin Lighthouse, headquartered in Austin, Texas, is a service oriented nonprofit organization with the mission to assist people who are blind or vision impaired and help them attain the skills they need to become gainfully employed in the community. Programs and services for the blind and visually impaired at AL include Braille classes, beginning computer skills, beginning computer keyboarding and vision aids for the blind and visually impaired.
