RWL Markets was started in 2003 with the belief companies should focus their efforts on what they specialize in. It was started by Jaime L Staalenburg, an executive in the power plant engineering business. After the collapse of Enron, he was tasked with shutting down his company's multiple offices and was amazed at the limited number of options available. His research found asset disposition is not a core business function for most companies and therefore not an area of expertise. in fact, research indicates most companies use "Vendors" to either sell to or for consignment. in addition, the process requires multiple people to get involved for example, the facilities manager may get rid of the furniture and fixtures, the IT manager may deal with the computer and network equipment, and individual office managers may be involved with office equipment. Our solution simplifies the entire process to a phone call or email. We take care of everything from that point on including logistics, insurance, scheduling, de-installs, clean-up and more. Even more important, many companies are not aware or don't have programs to deal with the potential liability involved with improper disposal of assets.
