Dr. Eduardo has been board certified in obstetrics and gynecology since 1997.
- EndometriosisEndometriosis: Endometriosis occurs when tissues that normally line the inside of your uterus begin to grow outside the uterus. These patches of tissue may appear on your ovaries, fallopian tubes, the outer uterine surface, or other organs in your pelvis. These tissues respond to your monthly hormone cycles, just as they would inside your uterus. As a result, they break down each month and bleed into your abdomen, causing scarring and pain.

Depending on your age, a pap smear, which is a screening test for cervical cancer, is typically performed during this appointment. Your doctor will discuss if a pap smear is recommended. - Robotic SurgeryThe da Vinci surgical system is a revolutionary tool that doctors use to assist them while performing minimally invasive surgery. A robotic surgery requires very small incisions, only 8mm, and gives doctors greater control and precision while operating. The visual system allows doctors to use 3-D imaging rather than 2-D conventional imaging in conventional laparoscopy. A patient’s recovery time is shorter and pain levels are significantly less than that of a patient who underwent a standard open surgery. Drs. Eduardo, Landwermeyer, Hart, Quinn, and DiSarro are trained and certified to use this new surgical procedure.
- HysterectomyIf you’ve previously had a cesarean delivery and want to have more children, VBAC may help you avoid problems that have been linked to multiple cesarean deliveries, including hysterectomy and bowel or bladder injury. Benefits of VBAC include no abdominal surgery, a shorter recovery period, lower risk of infection, and less blood loss. Talk with your doctor to see if you are a candidate and to develop a personalized plan of care for your delivery.
