I took my vehicle to the Arbor Lube Center on Lakecreek Pkwy. thinking it was still a JiffyLube. I almost left when the gentleman who greeted me informed me of this since I had been bringing my vehicles to this location for quite some time. ""He"", the attendant who turns out to actually be the manager explains that the place is now locally owned. He explained the prices which were no different than Jiffylubes actually cheaper since i use a synthetic oil. The manager who happend to be the one who serviced my vehicle, checked my tires, reviewed my service recommendations and rang me out. He also informed me that I could go 6k miles on synthetic oil instead of 3k like Jiffylube would say. His honesty was greatley appreciated, this place knows how to get your business and I recommend anyone needing automotive service to bring their car here! Plus you get a free full service carwash.

Ever notice after a big rain storm how dirty a car can look...Anyway I went here and was just wanting to get my baby clean. Little did i know i was over due on my oil. I was told that my car wash would be free if i was getting my oil changed...Rock n roll.. Cool...I was out of there with in 30 minutes for oil and clean.
I have been a repeat customer of the Arbor for a couple of years. I am always very pleased with their staff and the atmosphere they have created. I feel that I can kick my heels off for a few minutes while I am there and relax. I admitted that I can be a picky person but every single time I want a specific spot cleaned or maybe some extra attention to a certain area they have always taken care of my vehicle without complaining.
I also have used their oil change facility a few times and I can say based off of all of the other places I have been in the past this place is by far The Best!! Yes... someone will eventually come up to you and cover the recommended services for your vehicle, but I have had them come to me and say that my vehicle is in perfect running condition and all my maintenancs seems to be up to date.
They have earned my trust!! Keep up the Good work!!
After moving from Detroit a month ago I have been hesitant to find a new place to handle the maintenance of my Mercedes after using the same service center for years up North. Problem is now solved with an added bonus of a one stop shop. Oil change, car wash, and popcorn? Sold! And I hate popcorn but inhaled a bag anyway. You Texans have made my transition a little easier. Have the popcorn ready because I'll be back.

I was going to go to find a new place to get my oil changed and decided to google. I found this place and wow am i impressed.. I have never got a oil change and a car wash at the same place.. Great concept. The shop was clean and all the people there were really nice and freindly. I will be back again and again.

The first time I went there, it was a pleasant experience. The guy over the phone was nice and he even took in my car right at close.
On my second visit a few weeks later, I pulled up to get my car washed on Friday, May 15th around 4pm. I usually don't get the extras (wheel shining, wax, etc.) because I know all the extras are not worth the money and usually something like armor all on my low-profile tires usually spin off while I drive anyways. I usually clean my wheels the way I want at home. Plus, I don't drive the car much and there's only brake dust on my wheels.
Anyways, when I pulled up, I told them that I want the basic full service for $12.95. The greeter (Caucasian, with slick back hair, wearing aviator sunglasses) said in a fast-talking used car salesman way ""You don't want your wheel shined or dash armor alled or anything?"" I said ""no"".
He said, ""Huh, I never seen a BMW washed with dirty wheels."" I said, ""Do you want me to take my car somewhere else? There are plenty of places on the same street that I can take it to.""
Anyways, I ended up washing it there. People like this are not the best first impression for Arbor Car Wash. I hope they realize that.

I am truly shocked that Arbor Car Wash is listed here as #1. Here are some points of my experience this past Sat.:
- they didn't vacuum the back seat floorboards. When I pointed that out, they were annoyed and then did it quite poorly.
- the finisher didn't even wipe my dashboard at all. Same dust is there as when I went in.
- my windshield is filthy; inside and out. I had to redo them myself when I got home.
- when he pulled the car up, after the shoddy re-vacuum job, he put the window down and up, and didn't reclean it. You can imagine the water spots and streaking that caused.
- the door jams were not cleaned or wiped
This was such a disappointing experience. I bought the ""Valentine's Day 2 for 1 Special"" so I get the next deluxe service free. What a waste, since I will not be going back here again.

I went in their to get a detail on my car and left with damaged seats. The company took blame for the mistake but then when it came down to the bill were not willing to pay the full amount. I had to repeatedly contact the company to get the ball rolling to get my seats fixed , when they would always inform me they would contact me back and never did. Because the company is was not willing to pay for full damage I am ending up having to take it to the next level. I would not recommend taking your vehicle cause i would hate for anyone else to be in this type of situation. i am now having to pay $600 out of pocket for something that was not my fault at all!

I've tried a few of the car washes around town, some with oil change some without. It comes down to this:
If you want your car cleaned as thoroughly as you can imagine when the commercial is ""selling"" you, get out the hose or go to a self serve and do it yourself. Arbor is no different than any other. They move your car through the washing machine and dry it as quickly as possible. If it's still dirty in areas, the manager will just make excuses and tell you that your expectations are unreasonable.
The purpose of the oil change is to sell high profit margin parts to you. An air filter at AutoZone averages $10-$15 depending on your car. $40-$50 is what you'll pay at a service and they are trained to sell this to you, among other things. Again, Arbor is no different. Don't sit around in the comfortable waiting area. Go stand in front of your car and watch them perform the service. They will not be able to show you a dirty air filter from the trash when you are standing there witnessing them not even opening your air filter container in the engine compartment. Yes, I watched them do this with someone else's car.

I do not recommend this place for oil change. I went there because it's close to my work place and my car really need to have the oil change. They tried to sell me a $59 new cabin air filter by showing me a super dirty cabin air filter which truly do not believe that's my... I will never go back to this place.

I had them do a detail about 6 months ago and they actually did a good job. I went back for an inspection, oil change, and wash and they did ok on the first 2 but the wash was average. Today I had a horrible wash (Ben's Special -$23) and they did not properly vacuum, clean the outside and did not thoroughly clean my wheels (3/4 clean). I went to point this out and the guy that takes your order told me my car was real dirty and they are not a ""hand wash"" place. I did not have time to talk to a manager to work it out. I am done with them after 2 below average and one horrible experience. It seems I am not the only one.

I went here for my state inspection this week. First of all, they have one person doing inspections so the wait is way too long. They told me my gas cap needed replacing (which is not true since I didn't have a check engine light) and I should come back once that had been done. Instead of wasting my time going to my dealership and having them prove there was nothing wrong, i bought a cheap gas cap at the auto parts place. When I came back, I was told I would have to wait another hour for a check that takes less than two minutes. I talked to the manager on duty and he was rude and didn't seem interested at all in keeping me as a customer. I will be going to Genie or First Hand for all of my car washes from now on.

The ad on T.V. touts the full service car wash as the thing that you get free. It specifically mentions the Armour All treatment for your tires. However, when you get there, you find out that the actual full service is an additional $10 and it is only the basic service car wash that comes with the oil change. As far as the oil change, advise them up front that you definitely want them to let you know if anything else needs repair/replacing but let them know that you will NOT be paying for anything extra that day. Just get the oil change and nothing else. In fact, I believe they will let you watch the serviceman check your vehicle so I'd recommend letting them know you want to be notified when your car is going into the bay so you can watch. There are good oil change places and there are unscrupulous ones who use it as an opportunity to get more money from you by selling you parts and service that you sometimes don't even need. The frustrating thing (for both the customer AND the ""good guys"") is that one can not tell them apart until it's too late.

Hello, I wanted to take some time to respond and inform the city search viewing public of some of our business standards and code of conduct. Here at the Arbor we have a very Austin business style atmosphere where customer service comes FIRST, and to provide a warm comfortable atmosphere for all ages. Like most retail businesses of this capacity you now and again will have situations arise that could have very well been avoided, but due to the nature of this business sometimes things just happen. We pride ourselves on promoting Integrity within our business, and by being a pillar in our community. Our business thrives on having satisfied customers who want to go out and brag about how their car looked, how they saved time and money vs. using our competitors, or even how they initially had a problem, but in the end they were satisfied because they were taken care of at the best of our abilities right there on the spot. We know that we will not be able to make everyone happy or that some customer?s expectations of what they thought they purchased sometimes may have not been what they needed to meet their wants, but we try diligently to satisfy all of our customer as best we can.We have meetings with the staff every chance we get to make sure all aspect of our business is addressed to them...good and bad. Our team members here have a combined knowledge base of 60 to 80 years experience. We as managers strive to make sure that our employees that come in contact with our customers are of a very good moral character, and they ALL know that if it was not for our customer we would not have a job and our business would not have been around for 12 years.
To the people who only write all of their bad experiences about businesses I would ask you to make sure you took the time to address your issues with the manager before condemning them on sites like City Search where we have no opportunity to try to contact the customer in order to try to make things right.

Nice place, good marks for customer service, environment and a fast, decent wash and oil change.
I'll go back again. However, I'm not recommending the Arbor Car Wash BECAUSE THEY COMMIT THE MORTAL SIN OF BAD AUTOMOTIVE SHOPS: TRY TO SELL YOU REPAIRS YOU DON'T NEED. With a strong background in auto repair and having called out the ""technician"" who recommended a belt replacement he didn't even look at, I stayed there an extra half hour just to survey those with vehicles coming out of the Lube Center. The same technician recommended the same ""repair"" to 13/15 customers.
Worst yet, the same guy did the same thing every Saturday morning I went there. When you go to Jiffy Lube, you expect them to sell you add-ons. From Arbor, I expected more, and saw many people get ripped off by the same garbage that plagues the industry.

They usually leave my car with dirt spots but they clean it better once I tell them, but today the owner (or manager) came out of the office just to tell me that I was too demanding and that I should be looking to take my car somewhere else because they are not willing to spend time cleaning my car.
I thought that their service was to clean cars but I guess that I was wrong. It seems to be that their business is to charge for it only not to clean them, and then make sure that you leave quickly so they can charge the next ""victim"" hoping that they won't see the dirt still remaining on the lower body of the car.
In any case, I would not recommend anyone to go to this place as they usually don't have time for you neither care about you or your car, they just care about your money, and quickly please!!!

First of all, when you first drive up you'll have to wait at least 5 minutes in your car before someone will come over and talk to you...you begin to wonder if they even see you. One lady even drove away because she was sick of waiting. Then you'll continue to wait in your car until they can steer you up to the vacuum cleaners. The woman who was inside taking my money was unfriendly and distracted and talking to the other person very loudly she was working with. There was also a dog caged behind the counter. I paid, walked around for a few mins, then went to the facilities and went outside to wait.
I waited and waited and waited and never saw my car come around. It was just a basic car wash and I didn't want to be impatient so an HOUR later I decided I'd waited long enough...where was my car??
Apparently they had finished it within the 7 minutes I was inside and decided to go ahead and move my car out of the way. My car was in a parking lot next door to the car wash, hiding behind a building and I had no idea for a whole hour. The man didn't apologize when I told him what happened. What a waste of time during my lunch break, I will never go back and I wasn't impressed with the wash. Water stains on the paint and on the rims but since it had been an HOUR already, I had to go back to work.

$22 for a car wash, after which: the windshield is not clean, inside or out; the rocker panels aren't clean; the insides of the door frames haven't been touched, much less cleaned; there has been a rag inside the car, but in some places it just moved the dirt around, other places have obviously not been touched; nobody bothered to vacuum, sweep or wash the acorn hulls and twigs out of the pickup bed. Friday afternoon may be a bad time to get a car wash, but, hey--if the charge for it, they ought to do it.
There seems to be a pattern in all the car wash reviews--the BMWs and Lexuses get good washes, the Fords and Nissans get the short end of the stick.
Again, I vote with my feet.
