Went in today because my dog was bloated,wasn't eating, wasn't getting up. They charged me 95 in 10mins to just barley even touch/exam him right. All they said was he was bloated. But had to do further tests. In the end they tried to charge me 564.78!! Not to say they they even wanted a home urine test for 71.40. Seriously. I am never going back

They were thoughtful and caring. They have been taking care of our pets for about 10 years.

We moved to aurora last month and visited Special Friends for a meet and greet. Everyone was so great and the clinic was very clean. We decided to try them out. Dr. Kish was awesome with our fussy cat. She totally loves cats! I'll schedule the rest of the crew soon.

Positives-staff was friendly, Dr. Kish was great with my dog, clean clinic, good price.

I wondered why there was only one review for Special Friends and no other customers in the waiting room. Now I know.

I arrived on time for my first appointment and was led to a patient room. I waited about fifteen minutes before heading to the front desk to see if someone was going to show up. The staff was in the waiting standing around joking while I waited patiently for my appointment. I had to step out of the room to find them and remind them I was waiting. They shrugged their shoulders and eventually showed up. There were no explanations for the tardiness, incidentally.

More importantly, Dr. Woltman surprised me in his approach to dog training. I asked him for some advice regarding how to deal with my pet when he becomes food aggressive, toy aggressive, etc. He referenced the importance of 'alpha training' with my new pet - the use of crate for punishment, punitive, harsh tones to correct minor behavior issues with my Chihuahua. (Isn't it common knowledge in this progressive era and among dog lovers and professionals alike, that a crate should NEVER be used for punishment?) Unbelievable. We all know positive reinforcement is the way to go which in not in line with alpha dog training. I was very surprised by this attitude.

One good point: the receptionist was one of the most pleasant, professional, and amiable front desk assistants I have ever had the pleasure of meeting; however

she is not enough to bring me back to Special Friends in the future.

I've been to four vets in Aurora in the last two years trying to find a place that really cared about my dogs. Special Friends is great! I've finally found the vet that I will use for years to come. They exceeded my high expectations!

I brought my dog here for a lump removal recently. To begin, I had to wait nearly an hour before anyone even came into the room. No one came in to tell me it was going to be a wait or apologize for the inconvienence. After dropping my dog off, I was told my dog would be vaccinated against rabies. When I came to pick up my dog, I was given a rabies tag and certificate. About an hour after getting home, I recieved a call from a technician telling me that my dog never recieved the rabies vaccine. Why on earth would they send me home with a tag and certificate if they never gave the vaccine? I was under the impression the dog was vaccinated and would have had it falsely registered. I am thankful they realized the mistake but that is not enough to make me ever come back here again.

I have never been over charged by Special Friends vet clinic and have ALWAYS been satisfied with the care my dog recieves there. If you think the prices there are overinflated, then I would pay more for high quality ,thorough healthcare for my pet.

Dr Woltman and his staff of vet techs are knowledgeable andcaring . I would not take "Red " anywhere else !

Your prices are very high check other clinics they blow you out of the water. OVER RATED REVIEWS!!!!

I have enjoyed taking my dogs, cats and horses to this clinic!. Staff is great! Service is outstanding and prices are reasonable. Highly recommended!

We've been taking our dog, Morgan, to Dr. Woltman for the past 3 years. He saved our dog's life. Since we've moved, we even fly our dog across the country to see him and his incredible staff.
