Operational since 1974, Legal Services for the Elderly, also known as LSE, is a nonprofit organization that offers legal advice services for senior citizens. The organization provides consulting solutions for pension and retirement benefits and powers of attorney, as well as various consumer matters including creditor and bankruptcy problems, physical and financial abuse and guardianship defense issues. It conducts a health insurance counseling program that includes information and assistance with health care systems. Legal Services for the Elderly maintains a location in Augusta, Maine.
