Office of Child and Family Services is a part of the Maine Department of Health and Human Services. It includes child welfare, behavioral health services, early childhood and public service management divisions. The office serves abused and neglected children and offers kinship care and foster and adoptive parenting services. Office of Child and Family Services has an independent living program that serves older youths in custody and continued care. It provides counseling and substance abuse treatment. In addition, the office conducts training sessions for parents. Office of Child and Family Services is located in Augusta, Maine.
