Great barber program here at aveda

Great barber program here at aveda Maine - loved it here!
I love these guys! Great 45 haircut!
Angela is a sad excuse for a teacher; instead of giving constructive criticism, she's just rude, and often plays favorites with her students. She acted arrogant, and is the main reason I chose to continue my schooling elsewhere - and after talking with others who previously attended the school, I'm not the only one who seems to think this. Want to keep your students, Capilo's? Get better teachers.
I've been to the Institute several times, for different things. I've had a pedicure, 2 haircuts, and a styling. I am very very pleased with all the results. I find the students extremely friendly, and sweet, eager to please. I have given directions on occasion when I wanted something done a different way, and met no resistence. I just made a decision to go every week for a shampoo and style/set, as I have long hair, and have "reached a certain age", wherein arthritis in my hands limits what I can do with my hair. What a blessing the school is for our community, and for me!
Very poorly structured school. Of our 3 classes, we had one instructor, which meant half the time, in our program..we sat there, in a room by ourselves...looking at a wall, teaching ourselves. They expect you to do all their cleaning for them, even though you're not the one making the mess. They clearly do not want to clean or vacuum. (even though, you the student is paying thousands of dollars to be there) You are kicked out if you bring your cell phone in your purse, (even though its turned on manner mode or vibrate)...when clearly, the instructors use their phone in class. The heat was seldom turned on. Most of us students came to class with a winter jacket, hat, and mittens on. Most of the time you are spoken down on, and treated poorly. The only reason why I went here, was because it was the least expensive esthetic program in the state of Maine. Well, the old saying 'you get what you pay for' definitely applies here. If you care about your child, or if your paying for your own education..and want to learn, and get treated with respect...DO NOT GO HERE. Also, they are not understanding. If you are literally, one minute late to class..you are either kicked out, or told to wait a few hours. RIDICULOUS.
