If you are looking to have your wedding reception at the Augusta Civic Center I would DEFINITELY THINK TWICE!
The Event Coordinator can promise a good game, but in the end she falls to deliver. I was told that the tables and seating would be ready for decoration by 8:00am. When I arrived with my mother and three of my bridesmaids the room was in disarray, none of the chairs were up the tables were just being put into place, there were no linens out and the Event Coordinator was no where to be found. My mother had to stay and finish decorating.
Table markers were to be put up, there were non. Instead of having my immediate family tables, they were taken over by other guests. When I asked someone to speak to the Event Coordinator and ask her to come out into the entryway she refused not once but twice.
If I had it to do over again I would find a different venue to host my wedding reception! I have made sure that any acquaintance of mine knows not to plan such events with this facility! If you want a STRESS FREE RECEPTION DON'T GO TO THE AUGUSTA CIVIC CENTER!
