Provided by YP.comSub-par childcare. Poor supervision. My child was allowed to be bullied by both staff and other children. Continuous sunburn despite sunblock provided. Very slow response to communication attempts. Any complaint made seemed to be taken out on my child with continuous write-ups, including giving staff a "dirty look". Child was upset on daily basis and was developing low self-esteem. Child now in new care and doing beautifully! Don't send your child here if you can afford not to.

Provided by YP.comMy family likes the YMCA for both childcare/preschool and exercise. Childcare staff closely supervised my children. My kids liked the staff and bonded with the teachers. A strength of the childcare program is that it is ideal for skill acquisition in the areas of gross motor development and social/emotional development. A weakness is naptime. Sometimes I think the teachers need the naptime more than the students.

Provided by YP.comI liked this place when I first joined. Since then, they have vacated the Ashley location, cut the hours at Garrett, closed both the Garrett and Main St. Auburn pools. On the plus side , they have a new family fitness center at the main location on North St. in Auburn.
With the garrett pool and the old pool closed indefinitely, and more and more athletes and swimmers from local schools using the North pool, it will be harder to swim.
There are major cleanliness challenges at
all locations. They have a long history of not being able to keep good janitors and mechanics.
If you use the showers, be sure to guard against ringworm, atheltes foot, and jock rot.
