I'd give this store and its manager a negative amount of stars if it was allowed. I purchased a textbook at Big Blue and Anders beat their price by 10%. Since I received a better deal at Anders, I tried to return the textbook I purchased at Big Blue only to be shocked that they only refund your purchase 90% of the total. I was not told of this policy when I purchased the book. The return policy is not posted anywhere near the books or in the rest of the store except above the store (and not on the door!) and in tiny fine irrelevant-looking print at the bottom of your receipt. I spoke to the manager over the phone and he agreed to do a 100% refund. I drove back to the store immediately, only to be told by the manager himself that he'd do 95%. 5% is a small margin but I am an ethical and rightful person. I wouldn't give any man an extra 5% of my money when the manager a) lies to his customers b) does not trust the honesty of his customers c) believes that all his workers are perfect in every single way d) degrades his customers by pointing at the return policy at the receipt. I am a college student and can read the return policy myself - had the cashier clearly warned me before my purchase. I would have never bought anything from this store if I was told about the 10% restocking fee. I'd be happy to do the 1 minute labor of restocking it myself because apparently it's so hard that they must charge every textbook return 10%. This store is a scam and the manager values his workers' words over the customer. Horrible business and customer service. The store is absolute bogus, despite it's "low price guarantee." This store is out to unrightfully steal your money right out of your back pocket.
