OMG.... this is NOT the real indian hair please dont waste your money. They are fooling you and when you try to return the hair to Sunny""s, they will not refund that bad hair.
I've been going for awhile and just thought I'd finally write a review. This place is great, I'm a stylist and I send all my clients here because they sell great stuff at every price point.
The Indian hair is my fave. My clients usually reuse it twice or three times. The price is by far the best around time. The quality has improved since it first opened. No shedding because they reinfornce tracks.
But...i like it too because they also have cheaper hair there for my client's when they don't want to have expensive weaves. The have a lot more hair then what you might realize at prices around 15.
Also fridays are cool cuz they serve cocktails.
I purchased Indian Hair from Sunny's three months ago and I am about to take out my hair extensions. I kept waiting for the hair to start looking dry or tangle and it never did. I got wavy Indian hair and I feel like it transformed my opinion on getting hair extensions. The hair has truly gotten better with time and it's to the point now where I feel like this is my hair. I barely brush it and it has a naturalness to the hair. I have referred a lot of my friends to Sunny's and we all love it. We went two weeks ago and they had champagne cocktails and great music! I think there prices are ridiculously affordable. One tip... park at the restaurant next door I can't deal with all those steps at their back entrance.
I had to write a review because now I am a wig wearer and I never thought I would be. I had to get ready for a big family wedding and didn't know what I was going to do with my hair. It had been damaged and I wasn't sure if it would look it's best for the wedding. My daughter bought me a lacefront from Sunny's, and while I was skeptical at first, now I am in love. It is synthetic but you would never know! We trimmed the lace off and I was ready to go. I got so many compliments at the wedding, and not just from family, but from guests and even complete strangers. If any of you have a big day coming up and you are worried about your hair like I was, go to Sunny's!
Beware to all. As a gift my sis purchased hair for me from Sunnys and it was the Indian Remy. Ladies, I have only washed it twice and it tangles so badly that I am embarrased to wear it as a full head of weave.
It does not tangle in the top but at the neckline. Initially after the first wash it was fine but when I washed it a second time with Cream of Nature hair products which I used the first time the tangling began. I simply wanted a roller set for big soft curls because you are suposed to be able to do various styles.
It tangled even when it was wet yet one is supposed to be able to wear the hair wet with just a little mousse. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have flat-ironed it and put in rollers at nite to no avail. I also informed the staff of my issues and their reply was to come in and let them see it. First of all, my sister does not have another $230.00 plus shipping for more hair and least of all paying a hairstylist to redo it again. What will going in prove because they are not going to refund the money In addition it has been beyond ten days?
Furthermore, why can't a staff member tell me why its tangled or what to do for it over the phone?
My neckline is a big tangled knot when I take down the rollers and I don't even sleep on my back at night but on my side with a silk scarf every nite.
I have never experienced hair being so tangled after two washes. I am truly disappointed in their products and I strongly recommend that you keep your money and find hair elsewhere. If they cannot stand behind their products and or even believe that they even may get bad batches of hair then they should not be in the business of selling it, especially when women desire it as their crowning glory. Finally, I have purchased hair from Extension Plus and wore it for 4 months and had various hair styles with no problems whatsoever and thats who I am going back to.
THIS INDIAN HAIR TANGLED THE 1ST DAY I PUT IT IN. THIS IS THE WORST HAIR I HAVE EVER BOUGHT!!!!!! NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU BRUSH IT, THE HAIR TANGLES & KNOTS UP........GO SOMEWHERE ELSE & BUY HAIR...LEARN FROM MY COSTLY MISTAKE!!!!
I want to start by saying that i've worn probably every type of hair on the planet...Adorable, Lugo's, Bohyme, you name it...but the Indian hair i've gotten from Sunny's is above and beyond the best i've ever had. I got the virgin natural curl this summer and wore it on vacation--swimming in the ocean, sunbathing, you name it--and had no problems w/ tangling or shedding. i've just put in the same hair for the second time and it is still as good as new. Kudos to everyone at Sunny's for the best hair around. You also can't beat the pink cocktails either! Every customer is treated with care and the store is just fab. If you're looking for the best indian hair in ATL then your search is over!
I don't usually wear extensions or wigs but, upon my visit to Sunny's in Atlanta, was so inspired to try a new look. It was like visiting a candy store! The first thing you notice is the cozy decor (very inviting, high-style, loungy). You might walk up to the counter and order a martini before reminding yourself that it's a hair shop ;-)
But enough of the fluff, the knowledgeable staff wears Sunny's hair extensions and wigs; and they helped me choose the appropriate hair type and color for my clip-ons. They even showed me the best way to clip them on without being ""discovered"". I was very impressed with this level of individualized customer service, which is why I'm even taking the time to write this review. Anyone who's been to a New York beauty supply store can understand the great satisfaction of finding a place that is clean, friendly, reliable and charming. There isn't a Sunny's in New York; but I buy hair online now and call the ATL store if I need guidance before purchasing online.
I recommend this place to anyone who wants to graduate from good style to Super Hot style.
The customer service at Sunny's was fantastic. In addition to having an adorable store, the hair selection is great. I'm getting married in August and I am ""shopping"" around for hair styles. The people at Sunny's were great in giving me ideas and showing me things I could do for my hair if I want to wear it up or down on my wedding day. I got some great clip in pieces and hair for an updo bun. Great service, great people. If you're getting married, thiis is your place!
I am an avid weave wearer. I'd consider myself an expert on weaves and hair. The hair that I bought at Sunny's is by far the best hair that I've ever gotten my hands on. My life has been transformed by the weave that I got using hair from Sunny's. I have 22' Indian hair that hangs to my waist, never tangles, and billows in the wind like a Victoria Secret model standing in front of a fan during a photo shoot. I now have a new career in the industry that I've always wanted to be in and a new soon-to-be husband. I am treated better by almost everyone I meet and taken more seriously due to my polished and voluminous new look. Please do not underestimate the power of beautiful hair. This is the only review that I've ever written on Citysearch. I just had to spread the word about Sunny's hair. It is amazing and it will change your life!
I LOVE THIS HAIR.... BEING THAT I HAVE SOME WHAT OF THE SAME TEXTURE OF MY HAIR EVERY ONE LOVES IT... I GET SO MANY COMPLIMENTS.... THE SERVICE OF THE OWNERS IS GREAT, HAIR DOES NOT GET EVERYWHERE, AND IT DOES NOT MATT!!! I LOVE IT, I PLAN TO KEEP ON WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! THANK U SO MUCH SUNNYS HAIR AND WIG
I truly love their Bohyme Brazillian Wave hair. The day I put it in I received numerous compliments on how well it blended with my hair and how natural it looks. It's extremely easy to keep up. I wet it every morning in the shower and I love how it can go from full and dramatic, to toned down, to straight, back to the drama with just a little hair milk(Carol's Daughter) and a flat iron! I would recommend this hair to anyone who loves extreme versatility!
I went by this store when it first opened after reading about it on citysearch. I liked the store, it was clean, fun and really really cute. The staff was great but I wanted to wait it out before writing a review. The proof is in the pudding...so cute isn't always enough. I got their Indian hair it was their virgin hair. And at first I loved it...but at first I love all weaving hair I buy. The real test is a few washes in.
I work out a lot and went on two vacations this summer in saltwater and this Indian hair has been a god send. It has barely shed, something my boyfriend greatly appreciates after a past incident requiring a plumber to remove all this weave hair I had. It's very low maintenance, i barely brush it but it has a nice soft wave when I want but it's easy to wear stick straight.
So many people tell me how much they love how healthy my hair is and I want to scream and say I bought it...but not to mention this is the best prices I have paid for Indian hair so I wasn't sure if I was going to compromise quality by saving a few bucks. Overall, three months in I'm ready to take it and, but I think I am going to reuse it. So, the cute boutique actually did past the test.
I have also sent some of my wig wearing friends over there and now they hooked. They have lacefronts that my friend bought that was about 100 bucks and it was honestly the cutest thing I have seen her ever wear. So overall, i think it's a great place, with great products and overdue in Atlanta.
As for the parking...it's fine you just need to follow the signs for Buckhead garage and park in back.
For the life of me I don't know who is wrting the other reviews, or maybe I happened to get the two worse batches of ""Virgin Indian Hair"" that I've ever had in 15 years on a fluke. The place is cute, but the hair, now that is a whole nother issue. This hair tangles daily and not just at the neckline but even in the top. And beware ladies, there is no sign that states NO REFUNDS, EXCHANGE ONLY, and that is within 10 days of purchase, so don't be like me and buy hair and put it in the drawer until time for the new do. I usually go to Hair-Ex, but was trying to save money, but I ended up spending 240.00 that is a waste so now I have to pay for good hair and another weave. I am not please at all.
I read about them on Daily Candy... I went looking for a wig because that is what they were raving about on Daily Candy...but when I arrived I felt like I was in paradise.
The environment is soooo cute! The staff offered me water and took time to talk to me about what I wanted. I started thinking I was going to leave with Posh Spice Bob, but then after spending time to look through other options I realized I really wanted hair extensions.
I was surprised to learn how many affordable options they had there. They took the time to explain the process of strand by strand extensions but I ended up leaving with a box of ready made clip in extensions in the perfect shade of blonde. It was about 100 bucks and the hair is real and I love these things to death!
I have to say... as a white girl I wasn't expecting them to have much to offer in terms of shades of blondes but I was shocked to see how many shades of blondes they carry and how they are actually the color that your hair is...not some super golden fake looking hair.
All in all I have to say this place is unique. The only thing is that it's a little hard to find because it's nestled between a bunch of stores and I drove by it two times trying to find it.
I definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to change their look for under $100. Plus the staff is super knowledgeable. I kinda wanted to hug them after I left...
Sunny's is such a cute and chic little hair boutique, I was so excited when I got there. They know there stuff because I thought I knew what I wanted but they were so honest with me that I ended up getting something completely different. The level of professionalism is one to be applauded and they are so knowledgeable not once did I doubt their advice and input. I got the Bohyme Brazilian Wave because I am going natural, it really blends with my hair an its so versatile so I can grow my hair out and still look fly! Their summer stylist totally hooked me up! My hair looks amazing and from what it was, I cant like look like a million bucks! I ended up giving everybody hugs before I left, every woman needs to have that feelings and at Sunny's there's no doubt, you'll leave happy!
The only thing though is that they don't have alot of products and the place is a little hard to find, but other than that I give them two thumbs up!
I went into Sunny's with my friend who was looking for a wig, and ended up leaving with just as many things as she did. The atmosphere is so relaxed and the decor is so girly. It reminded me of a grown up doll house. I was surprised to find that Sunny's carried great conditioners and moisturizing products in addition to wigs and extensions. I purchased some Redken Real Control products (which just came out and are hard to find), some clip-in extensions and a faux ponytail. The employees were so nice and offered us cupcakes. I left feeling like a princess.
I always do my own color, and it's so damaging, all the switching up I do as far as color goes, so I decided to get clip in extensions in a light blonde to color over with some manic panic. When I went into Sunny's, the girls gave me tons of advice about all the different types of extensions they offer. I thought I was set on clip-ins, but they showed me infusions, which are like strand by strand. I bought a light blonde pack, took it home and colored it, then came back a few days later to have them put in by Africa. She is currently training, I guess, but she did a great job adding ""hightlight""-style infusion extensions, not a lot, but just enough for a shock of color.
Now, I go back every couple months to get input on what I should do next. The second time I stopped in, they wanted to try out a skin weft, which is gluing on strand sections to the scalp. Now I have chunky black streaks that will last a couple months, and I don' have to worry about doing anything with the color. They said that the infusions hair can be used only once, but when you buy a pack, it's yours, and you have a lot, so if you want to try a couple things or streaks of color, it's cool! The wefting strips can be used two or three times with glue processes, and I'm hoping I can get it to go that far, or save them for another time!
The two things I had so far don't seem to be damaging, and trust me, I would know! I was weary of having something semi-permenant done, but they're very reassuring, and really good and excited about what they do.
Scattered in the shelves of hair products are also little suprise sections of jewelry and acessories in little theme areas. The way the stuff is combined on display makes you want to buy it all and wear it all at once, it looks so good! It's a fun place, with fun people. Sometiems I stop in when I'm in the area just to say hi and see what new bracelets they have!
After finding the store on city search- I feel compelled to write a review. First, the store is very nice. It looks like a boutique of high end hair but they prices are great and affordable. I had a private fitting room to try on my wigs and I enjoyed that . The parking is difficult at first but they have parking that's free in the back. I enjoyed my experiance in there and felt like I could talk to someone about my hair needs and have them understand.
I go to many beauty supplies and write reviews for women on the message boards who have lost hair due to medical reasons. I want women to know that this is a open friendly place for all women to come in and find nice classy wigs that you cant find in other beauty supplies. For those who are private about their hair, there are hidden areas available for you to try on your wigs. Also, the women who work in the store are very knowledgeable about the hair that they sell and they actually take the time to talk to you about your hair wants and needs. I felt at home and at ease and I was able to take a seat on the nice leather couch while an attendant bought wigs to me for me to look at and try. I was so impressed, I came back with a group of women from the nurses department. We are so happy this store has opened in the Buckhead area because a store like this has been long overdue for the state of Georgia. Now we finally have a place to shop and look forward to shopping in.
