After being unemployed for 5 months and trying to find a job on my own I responded to an ad posted by Paces and they found me a great job. I was contacted by them and after two interviews I was hired. My recruiter was friendly and I would recommend Paces Staffing to anyone!

This was not like any recruiter I had been to. I met all the team and even the CEO, about two years ago.
They didn't get me job, but I got a call from her, about 6 months ago telling me about a job that I would be ideal for. They way she described it, it did sound exactly what I wanted. She worked fast and I secured an interview the following week.
Strangely, many of the key job skills she had referred to were simply not part of the job spec. it was a very uncomfortable interview, perhaps the most uncomfortable that I have ever had. they had also upsold my resume and had stated that I could do things that I was still learning.
com on guys. tell them my best points but don't set me up for a fall. Needless to say I didn't get the job.
Look I want quality experience in a recruiter. Not something who has just been papering resumes around a town for 40 years.
I won't use them gain. NO WAU

I did not go to meet this recruiter. She was so rude on the phone, that I decided not to show up for my interview.
She told me that my resume was terrible and that it needed major work. I was happy to have the feedback. However, when I told her it was the same resume as I got my last job with, she said ""Really! Did someone pay a fee for you, did you use a recruiter. I can't believe a recruiter would work with such a bad resume""
I have never been so insulted. I happen to have good jobs throughout my career.
I was hired quickly without Paces Help.

I have only one thing to say about this agency. Make sure they do not send your resume to law firms without your permission. They sent my resume to almost every firm in Atlanta and this stopped me from getting a job. I have a friend who knows the HR manager of one of the firms and she told me that if a recruiter sends a resume, the law firm have to pay a fee to the recruiter if they hire you, even if I apply myself after. Do not trust them not to send it. ASk for it in writing.

I had an interview with what I was told was a very good client of Paces. I was told how the interview would happen from the owner herself. She told me that I was the very best candidate they had for it. All was going well until the law firm asked me about my previous role.
I discovered that Paces had changed my resume to say I was a legal secretary/legal assistant and not just legal assistant. I was asked questions about legal secretarial work which I could not answer. I'm sure I ened up losing the job offer as a result. There's nothing wrong with improving resumes, but I did not want them to change my job title. Agencies should not be allowed to change job titles. This is illegal and not the sort of behavior I would expect from a recruiter.
