      Had visited this office and the McDonough location and had work done using the insurance I have had for years and still have, however, when I arrived for my scheduled appointment the "front desk receptionist/office manager" had to call and verify my insurance. No problem or so I thought because I had been here before, until she tells me I have a HMO insurance plan and they only take PPO plans. Dumbfounded because this is where I had work done with the same insurance I questioned her but she insisted I had an HMO plan so I thanked her and left. I immediately went to my car and called my insurance company who stated they had on record my being seen by this office using the same coverage I had on previous dates of service and currently have. They asked me to hold and called the "receptionist/office manager" to let her know that I did not have a HMO plan and they had rendered services to me using this same plan as evidenced in their records. According to the insurance company, the receptionist was rude and would not agree to allow me access to services even though it had been established that they had accepted my insurance before and my plan was not a HMO plan. Her excuse was they only accept PPO plans. If they accepted my same insurance before and now they don't then it leads one to believe "something in the milk ain't clean," and maybe an investigative audit of the records needs to be done to see how the insurance plans/patients they do supposedly see have been billed and to see if they all are solely PPO plans.
