      If you are seeking the services of a qualified real estate appraiser, those that are a member of the Appraisal Institute are part of a select group. For more than 70 years, the Appraisal Institute has been the world's leading organization of professional real estate appraisers. The organization has led the way in fostering and promoting the highest standards of practice through its designation programs, peer review process and education, research and publishing endeavors. Members of the Appraisal Institute have met rigorous requirements relating to education, experience and demonstration of knowledge. These requirements are much more rigorous than those required for simple State certification or licensing. We are a small group of dedicated, state certified appraisers. Three of our memebers are also designated MAI and/or SRA by the Appraisal Institute. Our professional qualifications and experience are unmatched my any other local real estate appraisal firm. Our firm has completed over 22,000 appraisals since it founding in 1973, virtually all between Aspen & Glenwood Springs. One of us is probably very familiar with your property or the one you are considering. The Aspen Appraisal Group started as James J. Mollica & Associates, Inc. in 1973. Jim Mollica, the founder, received his RM designation from the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers in 1975 and became one of the youngest MAI's in Institute history in 1977.Scott Bowie joined the firm as an appraisal associate in 1976, Randy Gold in 1978. Both were designated MAI by the Appraisal Institute in 1984, at which time they also joined Jim as equity partners in the firm.Betsy Krizmanich joined the company in 1985.
