A real nice and quiet campground, a real friendly and nice campground. Easy access to shopping and the zoo, along with my job. I have stayed in several different styles of campgrounds and I like Deep River Campground.

it was ok for the price and was nice to get away for a day or two,, owners George and wife were a little rude, maybe time to let another generation take over

Provided by YP.comIt may be family friendly, but only to the permanent residents, certainly not visitors. The entire campground is wallpapered in rules that apparently only apply to guests. For example, a massive sign saying "NO ALCOHOL" is the first thing you see as you enter the park, then two rows down stacks of empty beer boxes are ready for burning and drunks walk around at all hours. A permanent resident nearby was drunk screaming obscenities all into the night, but police were called on an extremely nice family nearby staying the night who were having a good time and barely audible in the next campsite. Won't be back and I'd advise others to avoid

Provided by YP.comThe people who run this place are awsome they are so friendly. We had family that came in from NY and the camp site they were staying was not family friendly. This camp site acommadated a family get together of about 40 people including all the kids and on short notice. We all had a great time. They have a sign going in that saids Welcome Home and thats how we felt
There were two pools that were far to small to accomodate the number of campers wanting to swim. Many teens and early 20-somethings who did not follow any rules of the pools, no respect for rules or others with small children. The sites were way to close together...couldn't "spread out". Our campsite was on a slope so we couldn't eat on our picnic table without things tipping over. We came in after dark and about fell over a tree stump that someone had tried to clear away but left enough for you to trip on in the dark. Playground was in bad condition, not much to play on. Laundry machine and dryer in main building...$1.00 for each, dryer supposedly runs for 45 minutes but clothes were still damp. At check-in you recieve info about campground (rules and such) one big rule was that all pets must be on a leash. This was not enforced. Owners have a large black dog that roamed around and there was a rotweiler with no leash. The price was resonable but my family will not return!
