Dr. Heitkamp is my hero! It's been over 10 years now since I was referred to him for my lower back/lumbar problem. He evaluated me, sent me for tests and everything he said was spot-on. He did my surgery the following week. He spent a lot of time explaining the surgery to me ahead of time, and I'll never forget asking him "Can you fix me or just help temporarily?" He looked me straight in the eyes and said, "Oh, I'm going to fix you." And he did just that! At my 3-week follow up, I was only using a cane to walk with, and by 6 weeks, I felt like a new person. I felt 10 years younger! And to this day, I have never had ANY pain where he did my spinal fusion surgery. His office staff is SO nice, and I only had to wait a few moments to see him. I recommend Dr. Heitkamp SO HIGHLY to everyone. He is so mild-mannered, professional and an absolute genius! He truly is my hero and always will be. He comes in 2nd only to my husband!
