I was in the area on business recently, and I searched for a French restaurant with reasonable prices and found Scutra. I ordered a simple mesclun salade, and the Braised Veal Scallopini with Fig Confit. The salad was very fresh, though otherwise unremarkable. The Veal Scallopini was utterly fantastic, however! Best veal dish I've ever had! The brown sauce mixed with the vegetables was the perfect complement to the veal and fig confit -- subtle, complex flavors that can only be achieved by a master chef who cooks it slowly for many hours! After that entree, the desert could hardly compete, but I took the recommended Key Lime Mousse, and it was satisfactorily lite -- the perfect palate cleanser.The prices are moderate-to-high with $8 salads, and $20 entrees.I highly recommend this place, and plan to eat there when I'm next visiting the Boston area.
