- CarpentryWhile most construction firms outsource their labor, Homer Contracting has the ability to self perform in five key trades. These include our original trade, painting, as well as carpentry, masonry, waterproofing, and general labor.

- MasonryWith this 216 unit, 10 story building falling into disarray, Malden Housing Authority and HUD contracted out the exterior repairs of all the balconies, stair towers, curtain wall system, and windows. Scope included concrete repairs and cutting at balconies, new aluminum railings, new aluminum soffits, new storm doors, new sheet metal flashing, abatement, waterproofing coatings, painting, and extensive masonry repairs. Being an occupied building, we faced extensive challenges, but through our experience, expertise, and ability to self perform a large portion of the work with our own forces, we were able to complete this project without much disturbance.
- CaulkingThe historical restoration of the windows on the South Side of the world famous Faneuil Hall in Boston, included paint stripping, carpentry repairs, glazing, caulking, and repainting of the indicated sashes and frames. The sashes were transported to an off site shop where they were fully restored and in some cases replicated by skilled craftsmen. During this time, temporary protection, which included a graphic of the existing windows, was installed to preserve the historic nature of the building.
- Electrical WorkWe recently completed a roof replacement project at the occupied Cambridge Senior Center building. This not only included over 9000 SF over two roofs (upper and lower) of flat roof replacement and associated mechanical and electrical work, but we also built a curved steel structure upon which solar panels were installed and integrated into the building. Also on that same lower roof where the steel structure was erected, a system of wood pavers was created and a green screen fence was installed in order to create a green out door patio space for the City’s senior citizens.
