Desoto County High School offers educational instruction to students in grades nine through 12. The school has an enrollment of more than 1,200 students and offers classes in English, math, science, social studies, industrial technology, health education, computer science, business studies, music, fine arts and physical education. The school offers athletic programs in cross country, football, golf, volleyball, soccer, basketball, softball, tennis, baseball, track and field and weightlifting. Its counseling department offers guidance for financial assistance and scholarships. The school s library has a wide collection of books on various topics and subscribes to several online databases. Desoto County High School is a part of the Desoto County School District and is located in Arcadia, Fla. It recognizes student of the month with wooden plaque, a T-shirt and get to attend a breakfast at a local business or restaurant.
